Spatial Biology and Genomics Core

The Spatial Biology and Genomics (SBG) Core at CHLA provides our research community with new, rapidly evolving technologies and instrumentation options for projects of any scale – individual researchers to large international teams. Core services include spatial proteomics on the Akoya Pheno-Cycler Fusion platform, spatial transcriptomics on the GenePS system from Spatial Genomics, and the full array of single cell genomics options from 10X Genomics. Other services include Microbiome Metagenomics (16S and Whole Genome), RNA expression profiling and high throughput RNA/ DNA Next Generation Sequencing with advanced data analysis. With a focus on rapid, accurate, reproducible high-throughput services and the bioinformatics support to interpret the results, the SBG Core is committed to rigorous quality control standards to support the use of biological sciences for the advancement of biomedical research.
