Human Imaging Core

The Human Imaging Core at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) provides researchers with access to a state-of-the-art Philips Achieva dStream 3.0T MRI system dedicated exclusively to research. As one of only three free-standing children’s hospitals in the U.S. with such a resource, the Core supports the development, testing, and implementation of advanced MRI protocols. Services include MRI and DXA scanning, pilot studies, and participant training using a mock scanner—all aimed at accelerating imaging innovations for pediatric care.
